Multiplication and division fact families are a set of four related math facts that use the same three numbers. For example: The fact family for 3, 5 and 15 is a set of two multiplication facts and two division facts.
- 3 x 5 = 15
- 5 x 3 = 15
- 15 ÷ 3 = 5
- 15 ÷ 5 = 3
The fourth graders in Ms. Falnary’s Title I math class at Ryan Academy have been working on multiplication and division fact families.
Students use Reflex Math the first few minutes of class to improve fact fluency.
During board work time, the fourth graders practice various fact families.
