In third grade, Ms. Becton’s St. Gregory the Great Catholic School Title I students are learning to identify and apply what they have learned about text features in nonfiction text. After a mini lesson on identifying various text features, the teacher presented students with four text features on similar topics. Then Ms. Becton challenged the students to think about the following:
- What type of book would they find these features in?
- What would an appropriate title for said book?
