Ms. Dombey’s third grade students at Atlantic Shores Christian wanted to learn about the Grand Canyon. Therefore, they read “Scholastic Paired Passages.” The passages were a fiction and a non-fiction story about the Grand Canyon:

  • How the Grand Canyon Was Formed, and
  • Visiting the Grand Canyon.

After reading the passages, the students concluded their work by using graphic organizers. On the graphic organizers they compared and contrasted the non-fiction with fictional passages about the Grand Canyon.
